Filling, Palletising & Labelling Equipment to be Supplied
Engelmann & Buckham (E&B) have been selected to supply packaging lines to Yara’s new state-of-the-art global production plant in Yorkshire. This new facility, set to be operational by early 2026, is expected to be one of the largest in the world for specialty crop nutrition products and biostimulants, sold under the product ranges YaraVita & YaraAmplix. The expansion is aligned with Yara’s long-term strategy to broaden its market presence and serve its global customer base more effectively.
Engelmann & Buckham (E&B) was chosen as the machinery supplier for the project due to its extensive experience in providing top-quality equipment to the UK and Irish markets. Their expertise in machinery selection, along with their ability to access cutting-edge equipment from leading manufacturers in Europe and the US, made them an ideal partner for Yara.

The Challenge
As part of its expansion, Yara required reliable, well-conceived production lines that will efficiently fill a variety of container sizes and have the potential to scale in the future. Joe Kidd, Project Manager at Yara, emphasised the importance of finding a supplier who understood Yara’s business requirements and had a proven track record in handling large-scale projects with tight deadlines.
“We needed a supplier who fully understood our business requirements and strict deadlines. We were able to visit all the manufacturers involved and view their production facilities. This enabled us to feel comfortable with E&B’s ability to deliver the right equipment at the right time.” Joe Kidd
The New Facility
The new site has a floor area of 300,000 sq. ft and was designed by Joe Kidd, to ensure that the production process is efficient, whilst also creating a welcoming environment for the typically 700 expected annual visitors to the site.
Construction began in September 2023, with plans for completion by 2026. Yara’s vision for the facility goes beyond just production; it aims to be a showcase for innovation in agricultural technology and sustainability. The production and packaging lines, supported by the E&B-supplied equipment, will play a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for YaraVita & YaraAmplix products worldwide.
E&B will be supplying filling and labelling machinery from five of their manufacturers. The low labour filling lines will be suitable for 1, 5 and 10L drums packed in cases; 20 Litre self-stacking drums; Bulk filling into 640 and 1000L IBC’s.
John Orme, Sales Manager at E&B, commented, ” This project is perfect for E&B, it utilises five of our excellent manufacturers, delivering these types of lines is exactly what we thrive on.”

The collaboration between Yara and E&B highlights the value of this long-term relationship built on trust, expertise, and a shared commitment to quality. Both parties will utilise their respective strengths to deliver a production line that meets Yara’s requirements and ensures that the project stays on track.
By combining world-class machinery, a clear understanding of the client’s needs, and an unwavering commitment to quality, Yara and E&B have laid the foundation for a highly efficient and scalable production facility that will serve the agricultural industry for years to come.
